Wow, Robert Pattinson is STRONG. You’d never have guessed from his wimpy biceps.
Who’s going to Twilight tonight? Are you like, “Oh my EDWARD, I can’t wait to see this movie!” Or are you like, “I’d rather let my husband give me a swirlie.” (PS, a swirlie is when someone sticks your head in the toilet and flushes it. In case you didn’t know and thought I was being bad.)
A group of crazy mommies and I are hitting a Thai restaurant and then waiting in line with our dessert to see the 12:01 show. And lucky for me I’m confident enough in my woman-hood to actually be excited about a teen romance flick. Whatever, there are vampires in it. And it’s PG-13 (I don’t watch R’s) – enough said. I’d be there even if Jack Black was in it (and NO, Jack Black isn’t in the stinkin’ movie! So if you Googled Jack Black in Twilight and came here…well, sorry you just got my lame site.)
I should let it be known that I have WAY low expectations for this Twilight movie. I’m not a huge fan of either of the main characters, but we’ll see…maybe they’ll pull it off. Besides that, I love going into a movie with low expectations and then having it be better than I thought it would be.
Plus there will be no little people. Bathroom. By myself. It’s enough for me, ok?

That’s right OME. I love that photo, it’s one of my favs.
I am headed out soon to Outback for desserts with 9 other ladies and then it’s off to get in line for the movie. Can’t wait!
Ohhhhhhhhh man!!!!!!
Thai food AND Twilight? SO NOT FAIR.
You must promise me this one thing. You have to tell me if the sparkle they used for Edward was way beyond cheesy. YOU HAVE TO. The minute you get home, okay? Because seriously, I have nightmares that the sparkle will be…bad.
And have fun! I have my own Twilight movie night coming up Saturday. OME, I am so excited! Real live adults, too!
i’m going tomorrow. i thought the books were retarded, but my sister-in-law is obsessed. OBSESSED I TELL YOU! so we’re going. i already told her i’m going to mock it, and she’s ok with that, so it will probably end up being a lot of fun for everyone. yay low expectations!
p.s. you are awesome. that is all.
I’ll be seeing it tomorrow night at 7:15 … but I am excited. Not near as excited as I am when Harry Potter comes out (I will NOT miss a midnight opening on that bad boy!)
I sure hope that it lives up to the standards of the people that are CRAZY about seeing it. Otherwise, the world might end at 3:00am.
I would be seeing it tonight, but my husband is out of town and for some reason it’s hard to get a babysitter for 12:00-2:00am.
I haven’t even read the books, but I’ve seen the previews and they look good. I’d like to read the books before I see the movie, so it will be out on DVD before I get to see it! lol
I hope you enjoy the movie!
My boss and her best friend rented a theater and we went at 7:30 last night. It was crazy….but I am glad I didn’t have to go at midnight.
I never go see a movie after I have read the book, it is just so condensed that I never like it. But hey, my boss is the coolest and the sweetest person in the world. She surprised us all with it so….of course I went.
The movie was pretty true to form as far as the first book goes, all about Bella and Edward. BUt you know how when reading a book each of us has a picture in our mind of how each person looks, what their voice sounds like, etc…. Well in my mind Edward is sooooo sexy looking and I thought they guy who played him was soooo UGLY!. That’s right….I said UGLY…EEWWW! But the way he treated Bella was sexy. And their first kiss was really hot!
So I broke my own rule and as usual when I do that I was disapointed…oh well…..I got a free diet coke and popcorn…LOL
Hugs,
Cricket
I AM excited for the movie but not as excited as I thought I would be way back when I was reading the series. I finished the Twilight book in September and a lot has happened since then (like…I finished the fourth book) and then I was like, “Oh my gosh, my life has been going by while I’ve been reading this series and my house is a mess and my kid misses me.” But I still think Robert Pattison is hot (at least in the movie.) Is it OK if I think Kristen Stewart is hot, too?
Our tickets are for Saturday (tomorrow) 10:00AM because I don’t do well at midnight. I require sleep, plus I know that’s when Husband will be able to watch Baby.
Anyway, have I told you lately that you rock! I look forward to your posts all the time.
P.S. and I don’t really get that picture, but Kristen Stewart still looks hot.
OH! I want to see the movie…but thats to late for me! I cant wait though!
I just recently bought the book and I am wondering if I will be struck with Oh My Edward syndrome. What if I’m not? What will that say about me?
What if I really AM an Oh My Larry The Cable Guy kind of girl?
I am GOING to read Twilight SOON and maybe even see the movie in the theater. I NEED a liitle Oh My! in my life.
How fun! I am very excited to go and see, however Chris has read the books too, so we will go together, but that won’t be until first week of December. I refuse to listen to anyone’s opinion or any reviews until then. I too, am going with no expectations. That way no disappointments. I do think the preview trailor’s looked pretty good though, that was until I watched an LDS spoof put out just copying one of the trailors – soooo funny! Now everytime I watch a serious commercial preview I picture the spoof and it all looks cheezy now. Oh well. Like that is gonna stop me from watching it… Hope you have fun!
How fun to have a girl’s night out, I definately need that! Well I am not going to go see the movie because I think I will read the books first and then see if I want to see the movie. It’s so hyped up already that I figured books are my first option…
I think I am the ONLY person who hasn’t read these books, I am thinking of reading them next week, or at least starting. Someone told me that the guy is a hunk in the book,….is this guy up there supposed to be a hunk??
I saw it! I saw it! I’m DYING to hear people’s reviews…trying to formulate my own as we speak..er, as I type. ;-)
I am glad I had low expectations for the movie. I enjoyed my girls night out and mostly enjoyed the flick, too … even with all the girly teenagers screaming every time a “vampire” was on the screen :) !! Although I will say I loved the Harry Potter trailer they showed at the beginning!
Hey Nikki,
My daughter is so excited to have you as her teacher!! Congrats, you’ll be great! BTW…did you do your VT yesterday?? He, he, he!
I went.
I saw.
OH. MY.
Came home that night and started the book. I read it in two days. I went today and bought the other three books and I am going back to the movie in the next couple of days.
OH. MY. I am liking life and love after Edward.
