In three weeks I’m flying to Utah to get my hair cut. I know, if you didn’t think I was weird before, now you’re sure of it.
This was supposed to be my “girls’ weekend” reward trip for losing a bunch of weight that I didn’t actually lose. But because I’m self-indulgent and spoiled I’m going anyway. Actually, I wouldn’t have gone but I already bought my plane ticket…so here I go anyway.
It will have been eight months since my last cut. My hair is now long, boring, and a little frumpy. I need your help, girls. I don’t have sisters to ask these sorts of questions to, and I know you guys will give me honest answers.
Which one, if any, do I take to the salon?

I really wanted to put my face in Mr. Bean’s hair but they didn’t have one like that.
I love bangs.
But do they love me?
My hair won’t be this long, either. Medium-long wasn’t an option.
Last summer I cut 12 inches off of my hair and dotated it to Locks of Love. Well, if I had sent it in I would have. It may still be sitting in my junk drawer…

Second, I’m thinking summer is a good time for short and sassy, so I’m picking #68 because it’s sassy but not too short.
I like 93 or 190. I think they are both super cute.
I’m gonna go with either #15 or #72. I think the side swept bang look would look great on you.

I tried side swept bangs last time I got my hair cut. Not a good idea since I can’t stand to have hair near my eyes. How can people see when their hair is blocking their peripheral vision? I was always trying to get it to stay back or putting it behind my ears. Defeated the purpose.
I like the one that you say “makes your head look wierd” best of all! BUT, I would have them leave more length with it, especially on the sides.
I like 15 and 190. I can’t wait to see what you do! Also? I would wait months until I could get my cut on a trip to Utah. Totally not weird in my book.

I would love to see you with #72, but shorter. Since your hair clearly grows FAST, go a little shorter (medium length) for summer. LOVE IT!

Well, since the stylist who made you look like a combination poodle/brillo (a proodle?) pad when you were ten or so is probably long gone by now, you can’t go see her. I suppose Utah is the next best thing. You didn’t ask me (could it be because I’m the one who requested the “proodle” cut that made you cry for weeks and hate me for months?) but, I like 190 best. I dunno honey…when your hair is straightened it looks really cute in so many styles. Why don’t you try a longer version of 190 or something similar just in case you can’t tolerate it that short?
Save your money on those expensive cuts. I can give you play dough hair for less than half the price, guaranteed. Where’s my garlic press?

I think 190 and 62, because I think they’re cute and also do-able as “mom hair,” if that makes sense…i.e. they wouldn’t require hours of styling every day.
I LOVE #62…I know you said you don’t know if you want that short, but it’s SO cute and I think it would look great on you! #24 is very cute also! And I think #190 is very sexy!

I like 190 and 93. I really, really like 190, because my hair is cut in a similar fashion…when I take the time to actually fix it. I like the side swept bangs because you have bangs, but not really. I usually pull those suckers back when I am hard at work.
I’m kidding, I am very rarely ever hard at work, but I do keep them pulled back a lot. Usually behind my ears. Ears are nice hair holders I have found.
I like wavy long #15 and straight medium # 62. I love 62, very hip. Though I loooooveeee your hair now.
